'Kiss that ass' ~ is all about those subtle desperate minds, whom you consider as 'the best' professionals of Corporate World. Their gimmickry may have totally flattered you to the best, but may not induce much when your real self will start making candid confessions. I have listened to many speakers in several seminars, conferences, summits, etc. All they say is to be the most white/ transparent crook at the workplace.. Yes! Trust me.. May be it seems to be a bit oxymoronic.. But it's true!
People love people who can massage their ego! Can boost their self-esteem and make them look good. Why?? The reason is very simple.. Just ask one thing to yourself.. Do you wanna get a kickass recognition in the mass?? O commoner?? What...?? No..!!! I bet..!
Transparency?? What does it mean?? They will say that we want transparent workmen in our Company.. Oh really?! Just go to them and place your grievance (any).. And you'll really see the transparent people working with you, around you.. Transparent in means then? Is crooking??

Though we've learnt about the 4Ps' & 7Ps' in Marketing Management.. But trust me those Ps' will not gonna affect 'YOU'.. When I say 'YOU', I mean 'self-branding'..
These 3Ps' are the 'must learn' skill sets which we all require to fit best in an organisation.. Interestingly, they all are chronological in nature,i.e., you may not get the later one without acquiring the former. Every individual has his own way to look at success. And success comes into different forms, flavors and timings, in short, it varies from one to another. But the satisfaction that comes out of any success is having a standard, general and uniform impact. Nowadays, even success has changed her way, appearance, blah, blah.. She has become real SMART (Specific, Measurable, Agreeable, Realistic, Time-bound)! So, how could one define success in his way?? And how the world out there will recognize it?? Embrace it?? Confused???
So let me tell you something interesting about me and my methods of defining success! In my school & college days (UG), when I got overburdened with 'n' no. of tasks, I used to mess it up drastically.. And the outcome affects tremendously! Rather more horribly.. I was literally stuck with my way..
In one weekend, just to refresh my mind, I went to my Fine Arts School. I used to go there quite often, even till now.. I love 'ART'.. I love to paint.. And I love the environment of my Fine Arts School.. The place is peaceful.. People are cool and lighthearted.. Believe me.. If you want peace of mind.. Join any of them.. You'll find yourself in a totally different world, among different people! So, I went to check whether the Headmaster was there. The Headmaster is the owner of that school and a wonderful person. We used to call him 'Ashim da'. He is a 56 years old man. But a kind of person who is evergreen from his heart!
As I entered, I saw him doing something on a white hand-made paper with some pieces of paper (probably those are the extracts of any newspaper).. I ignored, and asked, "what are you doing?" He said, "Don't you see?"
He is having a unique way of solving problems.. And a oxymoronic way to deal with those.. So, I said, "No!" And again, he said, "Shit happens! Shits are good.." I asked him, "What are you talking about??"
He stopped his work, turned back to me, and said, "Can you help me out doing this? I'm a old person and right now I'm feeling a bit low (in energy).. Would you mind?"
I replied, "Yup! Sure.."
And I joined his hand.. Within few minutes, I recognized ~ 'it's a collage'.
We were making 'a ship in the ocean'. It was wonderful. And big!
I got interested.. And got myself engaged.. Within few minutes, I was totally lost at making that collage. Forgot my burdens and everything! I was enjoying my tasks. When I was at my peak, he asked me, 'How are you doing these days?' I got distracted for a while. And backed to my depression state. I stopped the work for few seconds, and tend to start being emotional. He told me, "Keep doing.. I've to finish it by today. You can talk while working."
I tried to speak twice.. To speak my 'emotions'.. 'tensions'.. 'worries'.. But how could I?? I was enjoying at something! So now, I was stuck with my happiness. I reverted, "Not possible!"
He asked, "Why?" I said, "I'm concentrating on something! How could I say something else?"
He said, "So.. You changed your mind within a while??"
What! Now seriously.. I was stuck in between! As because, it was an oxymoron for sure!
And as usual, I asked smartly, "So what do you think I'm up to??"
"You're a collagist.." ~ he said.
"Whaat? Am I? Noway.. I've just started doing it, a while ago, how come I?"
And he replied, "Doing things that you don't even know before.. Coming with something which you now don't have any idea about.. What does it all represent?? What are you up to then??"
And again he added, "May be I should have called you 'A mixer grinder' but I'm an artist.. And right now making a collage.. So, I thought of addressing you that.."
Wao! A mixer grinder to a collagist! Does this ring a bell??
And what is the outcome of the collage concept is that it will make you ‘FUNGIBLE’!
Being fungible means replacing a person with enough efficiency, efficacy and effectiveness with identical skill sets. But the ratio with respect to your competitor has to be 2:1 (You : Your Competitor)!
It doesn't matter in which field you're in.. What matters is 'how fungible you're at your every deliverable(s)'!! And the challenge is ~ ‘how well you’re making your collage in the Organisation?? Remember the 3Ps' of Self-Branding..??

A true art
is one which can make out a beauty, out of some holy craps! Problems in life
are like that.. And if you want to be successful
in today’s era, you have to be like a collagist! Who can bring all the possible
craps at one place and make a collage out of it, instead of making a mess!
I applied
my concept of collage in different fields, at different times afterwards, and trust
me; it never got messed up like before again!
It may not
suit the best way of achieving success to you, all the time. But it may help
you at sometimes, for sure!
