tHe uNspOkEn wiShEs!

I know you will come back to me one day,
So, I see you in my dreams every day;
And slowly days are passing one by one!

I know good times will come back to me one day,
So, I'm lightening up candles every day;
And thousands of bodies are getting burnt one by one!

I know we will look at the dawn together one day,
So, I'm coloring my skies every day;
And the color remains smokey every dawn!

Now the time is passing very fast every while,
So, I'm trying to stop myself every way;
And the roads are getting elongated every mile!

Now I think about my unspoken wishes every mile,
So, I am getting late to walk with the time;
And, deep inside, within my mind
I'm feeling aloof all the time!

Life is whispering, we can't wait all the days,
So, I chose to pace up with time, being agile;
And, now I look back to my unspoken wishes every mile,
They seem to have disappeared with worldly timeline!

Scorpions! ~ rElOadEd...

'Grief' ~ the worst emotion of mankind & the toughest one to handle! Previously, I had written a blog on 'Scorpions!', keeping the focus at the same, i.e., how one can get rid of; instead how to handle the worst emotion, called grief. Here is the link:

Getting rid of the worst emotion, means escapism/ resignation from the problem itself; instead handling the worst emotion, means acceptance!

We all know somewhere deep inside us that 'acceptance' is the last stage of dealing/ coping with any problem, either organisational, or professional, or personal. But many of us gets confuse between the two terms, called ' resignation' & 'acceptance'. Acceptance is not resignation & vice-versa. To get/ build more insights on this, follow the given link below:

So, when Professor asked me, "Do extremely emotional people fits well at their respective workplace???", I reverted my anger/ denial/ depression/ resignation, but not acceptance. As because, deep inside me, I was still being somewhat & somehow dominated by grief, the toughest emotion of mankind!

Why 'grief' is the toughest emotion of mankind? Let me elaborate it to you (don't worry I'll make it a way good & interesting to you, not a typical theory read):

At first, check this out ~
People, Yes!
Recipe to Grief is DABDA (Denial, Anger, Bargain, Depression & Acceptance). For more taste, add 1 tsp of 'Shock' at first, 1 tsp of 'Fear', and lots of 'Performance' in bits & pieces, but watch your every action while performing. As because, every choice has actions & every action has consequences! And you'll taste the finest dish out of grief that you have ever tasted; grief, the worst emotion of mankind, can actually make wonders! Try it.

And now, let's review the underlying theory of DABDA...

The 5 stages of grief, is called DABDA, also known as 'Kubler Ross Model'. The Kubler Ross Model is a hypothesis introduced by Elisabeth Kubler Ross in 1969. This model states that when a person is faced with the reality of impending death or other extreme, awful fate, he/ she will experience a series of emotional stages: DABDA (in no specific sequence).

On contrary to that, George Bonanno (a Professor of Clinical Psychology at Columbia University) argued (along with extensive scientific studies) that most people who experience a loss do not grieve, but are resilient. His findings  concluded that a natural resilience is the main component of grief & trauma reactions. And it's like a 5W1H!

And, back to tier-I... "
"Do extremely emotional people fits well at their respective workplace???"
Especially, if the person is 'a-happy-go-lucky' kind. And the answer is ~ "Change is the only inevitable!"

NatUre heAls..!! (wAy to ShiV saMunDaram) ~ paRt-III

“I’m feeling puking..”
“Why?”
“There is too much suffocation..”
“Drink some water!”
(And I drank, on suggestion by 222! And after 15 minutes..)
“I can’t take this anymore.. I’m not feeling well..”
“Should I tell the driver to stop??”
“No.. I need a window seat man… It’s really suffocating..”
“Okay! Wait..”
And she is ON.. With her feminine tricks! (Here, she is 222.)
“Guys, we’ve to go back to the hostel please..” ~ 222

Everyone started asking her ~ “What happen?”

“Debo is not feeling well.. Something’s wrong with her.. So, we need to drop her out to hostel!”
I was literally wondering to kick her ass.. But then someone distracted me..

“Hey.. What’s wrong with you? You want to stop the bus and go outside for a while?” ~ CR (Relax.. CR, i.e., Classroom Representative, doesn't work on holidays!)

‘CR’ a.k.a. ‘Corporate Rishi’ is my roomie’s ‘significant other’..  Yeah.. I know it’s a bit weird about his name.. But only a true IBAian can understand the holiness behind it. He is from an entrepreneurial background, and runs his family business (of logistics). And we’re good friends & batch-mates too!

“I’m not feeling well CR, I want a window seat..”

“Okay.. Come, sit in my place.. I’ll go there..”

Suddenly, my goodie neighbor interrupted.. “No.. Be seated.. Otherwise your GF will be aloof and bored! I think Debo really needs to get back to the hostel..”

I swear, this time I was literally raising my leg to give her a damn kick.. But again, someone spoke..

“You may relax miss. She’ll be alright. Let her get a window seat and some water. And she’ll be okay soon to travel.. Won’t you?” asked by the guy, sitting next to me.

I was exactly thinking of something alike.. And when he said so, I got some relief.. Before moving further, let me introduce to you ‘the made for each other roomies’!

Shocked?? Made for each other roomies!!! Relax.. Shit happens..!!

Well.. There are two guys at IBA, Bangalore.. The sole two roomies who can happily live ever after.. I sometimes wonder 5W1H!!!
And then suddenly my subconscious mind pokes my conscious mind by asking ~ “Do you think there’s any better jackass than’em??” Well, I think they do SO’HAM daily… (Just kidding..!)
IBA, Bangalore is a lovely place.. Trust me guys! It’s more like a resort than any pathetic B-school.. So.. All MBA aspirants, if you wanna have ‘A home away home’ environment of a B-school. Here’s your destination.. Anyways, that’s enough marketing.. Let’s come back to my story..
'Rishtey mein toh hum tumhare Papa lagte hain.. naam hai Papa Pancholia' and ‘Ranjhor Ka Rathore’ (trust me we’ve the real version inside the campus, lol.. ) in short PP & RKR are this ‘made for each other roomies’..
Both are from MP (Madhya Pradesh). Both are single.. Ready to mingle.. Okay! That's enough..
So, thanks to Papa, I finally got my window seat.. Yaay! And none other than, it was his roomie who compromised the seat for me.. Wao! Kudos 'made for each other roomies'.. You guys are the true epitome of 'rOOmieshIp!' Let the world be inspired by you and your love and your... Aheem!
Now, on the other hand, let me tell you something amazing about feminism.. Atfirst, one gal will almost screw the other gal's happiness, and, if she cannot succeed, she will show-off how she has majorly contributed to the other gal's victory, wicked! And.. Guess what! Miss. 222 gave me a lovely wicked smile. I realized, 'Oh shit! It's again..'
"Debo.. See.. How I get you the window seat!"~222
"You?"~ I asked.
"..... If I have not told'em..."
"Okay! Thanks a lot.."
And she continued smiling, and suddenly hugged me.
I smiled back & asked, "Are you excited?"
"Verrrryy much!"
"Okay.. And.."
"And..."
"Nothing?"
"What? What nothing?"
"No.. No.. Nothing! Carry on your dancing.."
"You wanna come?"
"Not at all! I'm all set for the day!" (Am I sick to loose my window seat again!)
And she started off with her dancing on some crap songs, viz., halkat jawani, anarkali disco chali, dil mera muft ka, blah blah.
But there's something magical about her performance. I, rather we, cannot take off our eyes from her when she performs. She is a mind-blowing classical dancer and an awesome expressionist! And I love her every performance. Till now, I haven't missed out a single performance of her, and you know why? As because, I'm her cinematographer at IBA! Unpaid!
So, Papa's suggestion of having some water & 'the' window seat had really helped me for travelling further. I didn't realize when my eyes got closed.
(After some time..)
Someone was continuously patting my shoulder saying ~ "Get-up!" I unconsciously felt irritated thinking it was my rommie for sure. But when I opened my eyes, I saw a pink elephant! What...!!! Wait a sec..
I rubbed my eyes properly.. And then I saw, it's 224! Good God....
"What??? Why are you looking me like that?"~224
"I think, you must stop wearing pink clothes!" I suggested.
"Why? What's the problem? I love pink.. Pink is my favorite color!" she replied.
"Is anyone hungry here? Or, we'll order only 16 plates!" ~ Miss KFC.
"No.. Wait! I'm coming.. I'm damn hungry!"~224
"Are you coming? Or you wanna sleep all day?"~224 asked me.
"No.. Let's go!" I replied.
We get out of the traveler for the breakfast. And we saw a small hut like shop of idli-vada.. And tea ofcourse. The road was long, both-side covered with big trees and rarely some very few vehicles were passing there by. And that was the sole shop there..
"Is that an idli-vada mallu shop?"~ my roomie asked me.
"Nope.. Biriyani.. Mallu biriyani.. You want some?" I joked. (as always)
"Shut-up!"~she felt disgusted.
"Take your plate,eh.."~ Our very own Rama.
And here comes a new character in the picture. I won't disguise his name with any other term. Coz, he won't read my blog! He is all day busy doing some or the other important serious work. So there's no point poking his nose indirectly!
Rama or Rams a.k.a. Ramaswami is a tamil guy, from Chennai. A 6 ft tall (approx), thin, dark handsome personality who taught us the true meaning of humanity & humility. He always shows a pleasant, humble attitude towards everyone. And if you feel sad, go talk to him. He can be the only listener if you're in real problem. Trust me! And he'll never complain about it. Or, expect anything in return. I had a kinda experience.. During one of the college event, I fought with another guy (unintentionally) at the backstage. And, we exchanged some harsh words to each other. As a result, he left his work. And I started crying. Many were there. But nobody turned to me instantly, except Rama. And you know, when he came to me to console me, what he did? He just asked what happened.. And listened attentively. For an hour, I guess. I talked talked talked, and without loosing patience, he kept listening. And I realized, that thing automatically stopped me crying and I returned back to the work. And this ought me to say, listening heals! We all must learn the art of listening!

sOutHciTy ~ oUr aDDa stOp!!

Adda means 'Gossip'..

And we Bongs' are only of it's kind; solely specialized and are best to sustain it's legacy in addas'..! There is absolutely no competition prevailing.. And, there is no absolute 'lojja' means 'matter of shame' for a true Bong to flaunt his mastery on 'the art of eating'! We are the true foodies'.. (I reckon!) Be it a birthday, marriage, funeral, or, any other day.. We do not forget to bring 'mishtis' (sweets) in our house.. It can be a matter of life & death, if we don't have one, in an entire day!
Also, 'Chaa' (tea, especially 'morning tea') brings disaster every morning, in any bong family! It may lead up to the 'dilemma of divorce'. And may end up with a happening 3rd World War between 'the bhodro lok' (the decent man) and 'the bhodro mohila' (the decent woman), for the sake of justice about 'Why the gentleman married the lady, 12 years ago??!!' And the answer is ~ 'for making chaa!!' And.. And.. Most importantly, according to 'the bhodro lok', 'pasher barir mashi maa/boudi' (the neighbor) is far way a better cook than his wife.. No matter how delicious the food she can make (the wife).. The credit always goes to 'pasher bari', and there exists no competition that with the 'bhadro lok'; "once upon a time, I was a great cook in my community!" is the most common sentence of 90% Bong 'Purush' (men).. Why? It is to criticize their wife/ a way of motivating her through the so-called 'stick' approach.. And this ought me to say, "Men will be men!"

Well.. In Kolkata ~ the city of Joy, we have several 'adda stops'; and every stop has its own segmented niche..
The old 'Coffee House' ~ is for the senior citizens..
The historic 'Victoria Memorial' ~ is more the lovers point than the tourist spot..
The Park Street ~ is for the alcoholics and party entertainers..
The Gariahat & Esplanade (a.k.a. Dharmatala) ~ is for all shopaholics..
The Dakshineshwar & Kalighat ~ for all theists..
The Sector - V ~ for all atheists.. (Just kidding!)
P.S. : Sector -V is considered as the 'Corporate Block'; it's totally a different world.. People are robots there.. And they only chase after one thing, yes.. 'Money Honey!' And there is only one slogan to their 'dharma' (religion) ~ "Work Hard.. Party Hardest!" And yes.. People there, prefer alcohol to water..
And..
Atlast, 'Southcity' ~ the place of all musketeers.. is our 'adda stop'!
When talking about musketeers.. Only 3 names come to my mind.. Aveek, Taj (my all time best buddies, in my UG college)  & Myself!

"Aveek Chaudhuri   Taj Mangal  And  Debolina Das; stop dozing in the class! Or else, I'll throw you all out of the class.." ~ was the favorite line of our Accounts Sir..

And sometimes..

"Aveek Chaudhuri, stop snoring.. You're distracting me.." ~ Our Quants Sir!

And also..

"Debolina & Taj, can you people sit quietly without giggling/ making mess.." ~ Our HR ma'am..

Uuufffff.... And again,

"Yes.. You, Taj & Debolina.. Where you people are going half way?? The class is here.." ~ Our Finance Sir! (Our favorite.. but sometimes.. 'Hitler')

Oh ho.. I would have slipped..

"Yes, you two chatterbox and that guy at the back, who is in another world (Aveek, sleeping), come and give the presentation of this concept.." ~ Marketing ma'am.. (the cutest! And the sole one, who treats us as geniuses..)

Okay, so these are the decent ones.. I'm sure you can assume the.... Aheem!

And.. the sole reason behind all these mind-blowing dialogues was ~ our Bong adda!

We can compromise with almost everything (except food) for the sake of 'adda'! Why? Oh c'mon, it's our Heritage after all.. How can we do compromise? It's the matter of our existence! Have you ever seen any boring Bong?? Either he will be fantastically weird.. Or disgustingly talkative! Well.. can't break the chain.. It's lineage.
The weekdays seemed to be fine. Except the Fridays.. When the intensity of 'talking craps' go higher, and this intensity, pulled and landed us @ the largest mall of the Eastern India ~ 'Southcity'!

Yes! This is the largest mall of the Eastern India with the largest multi-level car parking facility; covering approximately 1 million sq. feet! This giant is anchored by Shopper's Stop, Pantaloons, Spencers & Fame, it also gives 134 more retail outlets spread over 5 levels. Spacious & elegant, with a lavish Atrium, South City Mall creates a landmark in the retail landscape of the city by bringing the most sought after national & international retail brands under one roof! It's like us (Bongs)! One of it's kind..!

Don't think that it's only a typical shopping mall/ a fun place.. It's a kind of 'Brand Nostalgia'! And this reminds me of my those golden days of BBA, where explaining 4-7-8 Ps' were a mere joke! The place has contributed much better than the typical readings of Keller, Kolter, Koshi & Jha..
All marketing aspirants, if you wanna know all about marketing through exposure.. This place is for you! You gonna cherish a sort of 'Marketing Tourism' - I bet!
